Much recent national polling in #Germany has the far right #AfD ahead of the conservative #CDU/CSU. Regional variations - in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern the most recent ratio (25.09.25) is 38% to 13% - may see the conservatives having to drop their Left Party boycott after next year’s regional elections.

If this year is anything to go by, Microsoft will offer AI as standard come annual renewal time with price increase, without advertising the option of renewal decline and manual selection of the cheaper Family option if one does not want foisted AI. Shall see.

Following a bomb threat, Munich’s #Oktoberfest has re-opened.

The threat followed an incident in the north of the city. During a family dispute, a man apparently set a house alight and deposited explosives. He is thought also to have written the threat thrown in a neighbour’s letterbox. #Germany
