It's more complicated for me as I often book for a group of us. Cricket at Chelmsford last year, 2 hour delay, was handled well by GA but the 3 of us had slightly different routes. The Southampton to London operator has given mixed service, great once, terrible another

Could do with a universal delay repay system. I've used a few and they all differ. I seem to remember GWR as the most straightforward but one was incredibly complex can't remember which though

I looked at the record of QPR last season, at this stage 11 points and no home victories, they then won 15 points from next 8 so it can be done but I lack confidence in it actually happening. So many players have gone backwards since Spring, even under JHT

If they are doing well and we don't play them on a Tuesday night in November
November 23, 2025 at 5:56 PM
Dobbin was ok until his injury last season. The current injured players don't look to be enough to turn this season around to the level we require. Someone to turn 1-0 defeats to Bristol and Derby into a 2-1 victories
November 23, 2025 at 5:55 PM
If we are relegated, this will become more typical. I can't see any L1 club taking more than 1,000 fans and most won't take 500. Luton? Posh? The only possible ones
November 23, 2025 at 5:51 PM
Actually the yes was for your final point.
November 23, 2025 at 5:47 PM
1 Anyone doing well in L2, e.g. the scorer of the second goal for Bromley yesterday. 2 We can't 3 Yes
November 23, 2025 at 5:46 PM
Coventry 2-1 up with less than 10 to go and playing for time. Sutton scores to make it 3-2 in injury time and suddenly Ogrizovic has the pace of Linford Christie when retrieving the ball
November 23, 2025 at 1:42 PM
It should also dispel any thoughts that League 1 will be a cake walk. We're not as good as Luton were last season
November 23, 2025 at 1:40 PM
Charlton could go on a long losing run from now on but I can't see 3 other teams failed to get 50 points as they all seem capable of picking up surprise points. Look at this weekend for Blackburn, Oxford and Pompey as examples. Fail to win either of the next 2 and we'll be deservedly 2nd favourites

Strangely, even today, my sons don't seem to regard a meal as normal for first dates and go for something even less formal than the 80s. Meals as first dates is more likely something that comes later in life than teens or early 20s. Meals for that age group seem to be large group events not 1 to 1

Same here, I expected us to try park the bus and win a point
November 22, 2025 at 10:28 PM
Victories at home to Oxford, QPR, Charlton & Watford. Draws at home to Saints & Stoke. Draws at Watford & QPR would put us on 25 points from 26 matches and will have shown a massive improvement but still bottom 3 with Coventry & Middlesbrough to come by the end of January
November 22, 2025 at 10:23 PM
If we fail to pick up a minimum of 7 points from the next 3 games I can't see us even being in with a chance of staying up
November 22, 2025 at 5:42 PM
That should have been Portsmouth at home in April
November 22, 2025 at 4:25 PM
That good? I think we'll face a nasty surprise if we go down without major changes
November 22, 2025 at 4:20 PM
Could be. I wonder if I have any cousins from there
November 22, 2025 at 4:07 PM
I had an ancestor from there, German speaking, long established family, then came to UK late 18th century. I guess something happened to make them move (revolution? Napoleon?) Apparently explains my Swiss DNA

Recent crap from The Telegraph suggests that even the Mail would be more left leaning

When I look back at photos of me 30 years ago, I've aged too. Teeth are still straight though but mainly because my wisdom teeth were taken out 30 years ago.

Teenagers going for a meal on a first date? The world has changed a lot since the 80s then. First dates would be pub, cinema or some other social/cultural activity. Meals came a few dates in
November 22, 2025 at 9:27 AM
They seem to be suggesting something along the lines of the old 60s tower blocks
November 22, 2025 at 9:22 AM
When did this move happen? Must have been before WW2
