"Spencerianism" (I refuse to acknowledge it has anything to do w. Darwin) never went away from its initial abomination of Darwin's theory. In fact, I would estimate that a good 80% of Americans think this is how evolution operates. Jesus, look how the GOP has weaponized it as an economic rationale!
