SO I'm reading this about Charlie Chan, and OMG, the people don't get it. They are not realizing it's a stereotype, and the reason why there was protest wasn't just the corniness of Charlie Chan in the past, but the anger against Hollywood circa 2000.

Unreal. What kind of bugs is TNR isn't even an "old" face. It was commissioned in 1931 by The Times in the UK. This was contemporary with other new faces like Gill Sans.
My initial instinct was to rage against Rubio, but I don't think that's particularly helpful.

So instead, I'm going to share the 2023 WaPo article explaining Blinken's rationale, and why it's genuinely important we all think about these aspects of accessibility.
