Philly stuff. Outdoorsy stuff. Maybe a LOT of xc skiing stuff on winter weekends? I'm as confused as you are.

I'd throw Kavanaugh below Gorsuch for both, um, "temperament" - the gall of this effing guy being seated after the way he comported himself - and at-least-we-have-Bostock reasons. At the same time, it's staggering how disappointing Gorsuch has been in 2025.

"Your plane has a broken navigation system, the landing gear only works in favorable conditions, and the elderly co-pilot has a history of dozing off midflight. However, the current weather is looking okay over the normally stormy Caribbean."

"Wheels up, boys!"

On the whole, even though it would omit some great VC choices (Johnny Mize!), that would be about right.

Weirdly, this waitline graphic also popped up when I tried to look at the [AHEM] Kennedy Center website yesterday. Either they are bottlenecking traffic intentionally (likely!) or they have contracted with some clown-ass web contractors (super likely!)

Beltran, for example, is just below the CF JAWS average. HOWEVER: the induction of Jeff Kent, and the correlated lowering of the JAWS standard, places one Chase Cameron Utley as not only a Hall of Famer, but an above-average second baseman even compared to his Cooperstown peers.

If you really wanted to be a small-Hall stickler, and if you acknowledged that the HOF is, historically, larded up with favoritism and questionable choices, maybe you want to only vote for non-PED candidates who, if they were inducted, would be in the upper eschelon of the Hall.

Phil, Eli, and Jay were truly the holy trinity of making being an NFL quarterback - a dream for millions - look like some shitty event your mom dragged you to.

I feel some feelings about George Packer but The Assassin's Gate is legitimately incredible close-up history, as well.

Destiny of the Republic isn't some sort of inside secret now that it has its own Netflix miniseries but is still a banger. And then let's put a plug in for Mark Bowden's Hue 1968, among the best nonfiction books about Vietnam and a legitimately non-wonky military history about urban warfare.

Everything else is great, too, but I deeply appreciate that the creators said what if our primary storytelling tool was beards
