Just had to do my first age verification deal for the new UK laws. On bluesky. This is going to get tedious. Had to go through an application and let them see my face via front facing camera to detect my age. Urghhhhhh.

Yesterday was my birthday. It was fun to go to the Everyman at Royal William Yard to watch the F1 movie with a fruit cooler & a pizza. We had a few non-alcoholic drinks by the marina, walked around in the sun & ended with some Italian food. My kind of day. F1 movie was great fun.

Today is my birthday. It’s also the birthday of #amiga - we are only separated by two years. I used to play the 500 and later 1200 at a friends house because we didn’t have the money. I later saved to buy my very own magic pack. I was beyond happy.

Best part of the whole place yesterday and the most peaceful. To be honest, this is one of our fave spots anyway.

Ventured to Eden Project yesterday in the rain. It’s only minutes from our house and we have locals passes. Don’t be fooled by these photos, taken as we left. It’s school holidays and it was chaos. Not where a couple without kids should be going at this time of year.

Since watching the Back to the Beginning Black Sabbath gig, we've been re-watching old episodes of The Osbourne's. I remember watching this when it first aired 20+ years ago. The first true reality show, but more importantly the pre internet-everywhere era.

Finally sat down to watch PVT Chat (2020) last night. Julia fox was great in it. The film felt very indie, with shaky camera work & a real grit to the acting & storytelling. A great observational take on online SW, addiction & online relationships. Definitely draws on experience.

The John Wick movies are some of my all-time faves. I recently watched the documentary & really enjoyed the history & behind the scenes of this world. Gun-Fu quickly became a firm favourite, especially combined with that score. Movie night tonight to watch the Ballerina spinoff.

I was speaking with @letstalkbeauty.co.uk last night about things I remember from being in primary school. I had a total flashback to my first watch. Made by swatch, it was a Flik Flak watch just like these. I have such vivid memories of it, even the packaging and the battery compartment on the back

This is how I feel about influencers now. I have for a few years. The lines between salesperson & peer are too blurred, and it plays havoc with your mind & emotions. I try so hard to only follow real people, genuine community members & those who do things for the love of doing it

It’s summer, so it’s time for cold beers outside. But it’s also 2025 and I don’t tend to drink much alcohol anymore. These Corona Cero are the best of both worlds. An ice cold beer on the beach, but can happily drive home afterwards and not feel terrible. This is progress! Bought a few crates.

I'm watching the #tetris movie for perhaps the 6th time tonight. I still love playing the original Game Boy version on my Anbernic RG35XX - I think my wife loves it even more. But now I'm more convinced than ever that I need a Nintendo console in my life. Switch 2 incoming.

I normally listen to my own music from my own NAS via #sonos using S1. This morning I’m doing some maintenance on ny NAS so resorted to streaming. I am overly happy with how this Tycho deluxe cover looks on the S1. It’s definitely a Tycho kind of morning. Chilled.

Let’s just say today was a good day. I love having the flexibility with my work that if the sun comes out, we can both down tools and hit the beach. Our corner of Cornwall is looking good this week. Going to make the most of it and work in the evening instead. #cornwall #beach #coastal

OK. So I’m testing something new. I don't want to be attached to socials all the time, I want weeks at a time when I don't log in, but sometimes I have things to share. So I’m testing post scheduling across all of my accounts.

Some evenings just call for 4+ minute guitar solo. Pink Floyd never disappoints. Also, can I just confess my love for my #sonos system. The majority of my system are Play 3s I’ve bought used. Stereo pairs all over the house. Happily running rock solid S1 and local
Library. Grateful for this system.

You will mostly find me on mastodon/bluesky/threads if you like my posts. Simply because I’m cross posting with @openvibe.social and not using any other social apps.

Back home & back out for coffee. Our trip to Bristol & Bath was great fun. I’ll try to post some pictures later today.

Took myself off for a walk while Vicki was in her eyebrow appointment. Coffee and a walk on the beach. I’ve been testing out the #soundpeats Pearl Clip Pro with my Apple Watch. For £50 they are an absolute steal. Great connectivity. Decent sound. I’m really impressed.

Just posted this on my mastodon/threads but alas it’s too long for bluesky. So here it is reshared #kevinsmith #thatkevinsmith

I’ve been playing #carmageddon since I was a kid. I bought the PC version before I owned a PC and my best friend used to let me play it on their family PC for hours on end. Always looked amazing on the 3DFX. Last week is the first time ever I’ve completed a map by killing all peds. Never gets old.

My bank holiday in 4 photos. Was great to play #ducktails remastered on Xbox. So many great memories for the 8 bit era. Looks and sounds superb.

One thing that would be great in @openvibe.social would be if it could honour the setting in bluesky for show reposts. I have show reposts unchecked because I’m mostly interested in people’s original ideas and thoughts. Reposts I find clog up my feed. However Openvibe shows reposts.

Today felt like a bank holiday in our little Cornish village. Coffee from Q-street coffee & chips by the river, a nice walk in the sun and a general chilled vibe to the whole day.
