I went offline on the 12th August and I'm still offline. I realise I still have croissant installed so just thought I would update. It's been over a month off all news and social sites and I've been the most productive I've been since doing my masters over 15 years ago. I'm going to keep going.

It can’t just be me who is sick and tired of the influencer. I’ve been purging them from my YouTube, instagram and social media in general. Some people I’ve followed for years. We are in a time where none of their videos are anything but a sales pitch or concealed promotion. It’s so tired.

Just had to do my first age verification deal for the new UK laws. On bluesky. This is going to get tedious. Had to go through an application and let them see my face via front facing camera to detect my age. Urghhhhhh.

when this began, it was a studio fight. i had never made a sitcom, only documentaries and long form—moved in to the house and spent nine full months quietly shooting everything. they became my family. as the footage came back, the studio perked up and decided "to gamble."

Yesterday was my birthday. It was fun to go to the Everyman at Royal William Yard to watch the F1 movie with a fruit cooler & a pizza. We had a few non-alcoholic drinks by the marina, walked around in the sun & ended with some Italian food. My kind of day. F1 movie was great fun.

Today is my birthday. It’s also the birthday of #amiga - we are only separated by two years. I used to play the 500 and later 1200 at a friends house because we didn’t have the money. I later saved to buy my very own magic pack. I was beyond happy.

Best part of the whole place yesterday and the most peaceful. To be honest, this is one of our fave spots anyway.

Ventured to Eden Project yesterday in the rain. It’s only minutes from our house and we have locals passes. Don’t be fooled by these photos, taken as we left. It’s school holidays and it was chaos. Not where a couple without kids should be going at this time of year.

Since watching the Back to the Beginning Black Sabbath gig, we've been re-watching old episodes of The Osbourne's. I remember watching this when it first aired 20+ years ago. The first true reality show, but more importantly the pre internet-everywhere era.

Finally sat down to watch PVT Chat (2020) last night. Julia fox was great in it. The film felt very indie, with shaky camera work & a real grit to the acting & storytelling. A great observational take on online SW, addiction & online relationships. Definitely draws on experience.

The John Wick movies are some of my all-time faves. I recently watched the documentary & really enjoyed the history & behind the scenes of this world. Gun-Fu quickly became a firm favourite, especially combined with that score. Movie night tonight to watch the Ballerina spinoff.

Genuine question, but what do the people who follow me do with their evenings? We’ve got into the habit of eating a little later, watching TV and going for a walk. I’m sure I used to be more creative and productive than this in the evening. Would love to know what your evenings look like.

I was speaking with @letstalkbeauty.co.uk last night about things I remember from being in primary school. I had a total flashback to my first watch. Made by swatch, it was a Flik Flak watch just like these. I have such vivid memories of it, even the packaging and the battery compartment on the back

One of my absolute favourite new releases in a long time. The Ataris - Car Song. The lyrics really hit me at this point in my life. So weird getting a bit older. I still feel like

Every few years, I swap out my external hard drives for brand-new ones. I still buy stand HDD because per GB It's still so cheap. Last year, I repurposed a 4TB external drive & added it to my #Xbox Series X.

This is how I feel about influencers now. I have for a few years. The lines between salesperson & peer are too blurred, and it plays havoc with your mind & emotions. I try so hard to only follow real people, genuine community members & those who do things for the love of doing it

It’s summer, so it’s time for cold beers outside. But it’s also 2025 and I don’t tend to drink much alcohol anymore. These Corona Cero are the best of both worlds. An ice cold beer on the beach, but can happily drive home afterwards and not feel terrible. This is progress! Bought a few crates.

I'm watching the #tetris movie for perhaps the 6th time tonight. I still love playing the original Game Boy version on my Anbernic RG35XX - I think my wife loves it even more. But now I'm more convinced than ever that I need a Nintendo console in my life. Switch 2 incoming.

I loved this game on my master system. I do miss that squared box art and how nicely the cartridges snapped into their little holders inside the case.

I normally listen to my own music from my own NAS via #sonos using S1. This morning I’m doing some maintenance on ny NAS so resorted to streaming. I am overly happy with how this Tycho deluxe cover looks on the S1. It’s definitely a Tycho kind of morning. Chilled.
