This bleppy weirdo is a "bush dog" in the Amazon. It has WEBBED FEET to hunt in the flooded forests!

It's like a corgi, brown bear, red panda, and beaver all mated.

the face of a cute dog-bear thing a weird long body looks like the cross between a fox and a corgi

This #Wrensday shot epitomizes my relationship with the ever-elusive marsh wren. #birds #EastCoastKin
A marsh wren is barely visible behind the cover of reeds and other plants. It is facing the camera with its head turned to the left. Its left eye and chest are seen, and the tip of its beak.

A very excited Jay just hopped into your scroll...got any acorns? 🍂

📷 John Lindsey
A Jay, with its warm buff body, black moustache mark, and bright blue wing patch, stands on a log with its beak open as if mid-call. Its upright posture and wide-eyed look give the impression of a bold little character announcing itself loudly in the autumn woodland.

Your Thanksgiving spread might include mashed potatoes and pie, but at Wildlife Rescue, the menu looks a little different! 🍽️

A Berry Buffet for songbirds, or a Mealworm Medley for bats - every dish helps injured wildlife recover.

🎉🎉🎉 I love how birds shape themselves like torpedoes to gather speed. I captured this magnificent Red-bellied Woodpecker as it zoomed off its perch. 🥰🥰🥰 #Woodpecker #CentralPark #birding

Stonechat numbers are very high at the moment along the coast & in wetlands. Their plumage is indistinct, but will develop as the feather tips wear away. Post/pic 📷Barry Yates @rxnature.bsky.social

Feel like a fish out of water? Meet the giant mudskipper! This fish needs to breathe air & spends a decent amount of time on land! Found on the muddy shores of mangroves in parts of Southeast Asia, it uses its pectoral fins to “walk” across mudflats.

A photo of a mudskipper hauled out of water and onto a branch. The fish is brownish in color and has unusual facial features.
