You're right, overall more astute. I was noting something related but different--there was a shift in levels of astuteness across many demographics. Source: www.pewresearch.org/politics/202...

Boring can be brilliant. In Pueblo, Colorado, they're planning to replace a coal plant with one of largest clean energy hubs in US.

At its core: a thermal battery. These batteries can provide round-the-clock heat, slashing emissions, creating jobs, and improving public health.

Analysis: For only the second time since Donald Trump took office in January, Democrats who are out of power in Washington find themselves in a situation where they have actual leverage to block him and his party.
Analysis | Why Democrats are holding firm on conditions ahead of shutdown
Democrats are using their limited leverage ahead of a potential government shutdown, hoping to convince Americans that GOP spending priorities are the real danger.

The concept of trying to implement geoengineering solutions to #climate change is like trying to design a complicated, expensive, unreliable helmet while you're still hitting yourself in the head with a 2x4.

The GOP flipped a ton of former Biden supporters in 2020, I don’t see why that can’t happen in reverse. Obviously voters can and will change parties if they think it’s in their best interest, otherwise we’d still be voting for Federalists and Whigs.

I’ve gotten emergency weather alerts direct to my iPhone, accompanied by a loud alarm, which have woken me in the middle of the night. Non-algorithmic channels are in place, they just weren’t used.

BREAKING: A source tells me that the Trump administration has shut down public access to every single National Climate Assessment, the Congressionally-mandated quadrennial report assessing how climate change is affecting the U.S.

This is what you get when you try to access them online

Welp, looks like wind and solar is taking center stage during last minute negotiations over this budget -- with hundreds of thousands of jobs on the line
thebulwark.com
Q: "Does the president support this new measure in the big beautiful bill that would impose steep new taxes on new wind and solar projects?"

Leavitt: "I believe you're referring to the credits."

Q: "No, I'm talking about the new tax...to add 10-20% to any new solar projects."

Every Dem should be talking about this constantly: Trump and the GOP are gutting Medicare to pay for tax cuts for the rich.

Trump running: "I will not cut one penny from Social Security or Medicare." Trump now: slashing Medicare coverage you paid for.

“There’s a huge argument among Democrats about whether they need to run more centrist candidates… But if you’re going to take that side, find better centrists.”
