Yeah, I was too young at the time to understand when Obama did it.
Trump is just doing what both sides of US government have been doing for 70 years - just without any political theatre.
And I hate all of it. Thank God you have Mamdani, AOC, etc, clearly condemning it. A new party is needed.

Seconding Linux Mint. After a few failed starts with Ubuntu over the years, Mint was finally intuitive enough (and the ecosystem had come far enough) that I was able to stick around.
You've got to expect relearning time with ANY switch (Windows to Mac is same), but then it becomes your default :)
