Blue hour along Mormon Row in Grand Teton N.P. The TA Moulton homestead out in the distance shows the vastness and sometimes desolation of what it was like to live here. This day was the last clear day we had before the storms moved in. #photography #landscapephotography #nationalparks

WTF! The Trump administration plans to review (with the intent to remove or eliminate) some of the nation’s wildlife refuges and fish hatcheries. Agency director Brian Nesvik ordered officials to identify refuges/hatcheries whose purpose the administration claims “no longer aligns with the mission.”

First light on the Grand Teton. The one day during my workshop we had clear skies. Sunrise at the barns is always memorable. #landscapephotography #grandteton #nationalparks #mountains

It's dumping rain here in the PNW and my thoughts are returning to the desert, dry and warm. This was shot outside Monument Valley one evening. A great time! #photography #landscapephotography

A younger bighorn sheep near Jackson WY. As the snow fell, the sheep were out foraging for grass, occasionally posing for us to take their pictures. #photography #wyoming #wildlifephotography

The Chapel of the Sacred Heart in Grand Teton N.P. looks fantastic in the snow. Built in 1937, and still operating as a church in the summer months in the park. #photography #winter #nationalparks

Swans on the pond near Jackson WY. I liked the little circle of ice that the swans swam in to and thought it added a bit of something. City has added bubblers to keep this pond un-frozen for the swans. #wildlife #photography

Saw these coyotes out on the frozen Snake River near Oxbow Bend in Grand Teton NP. I had a few with them next to a partially unfrozen section, but I like this one better because of the expanse of white space all around the animals. #photography #wildlife #nationalparks

Amidst the towering trees and mountains, I took time yesterday to narrow my vision and examine some of the smaller features of the landscape. #photography #nationalparks #pinecone #nature #closeup

It can be a fun place to stop and experiment a bit with different shots. I found this upside down piece of sage, ice coated, in a thermal area in the park and decided to isolate it against the blue water. Fun to play around and flex creative muscles. #photography #minimalism

Snake River overlook in GTNP. Probably the only day we'll see the mountains this week, so we took advantage of it. #photography #nationalparks #wyoming #landscapephotography

Bear Drool - In Katmai NP, we floated a river one day and saw 100+ bears doing all sorts of bear things. One of many captures I made on this trip. Epic! #wildlifephotography #photography #nationalparks #nature
