We spent last week with hundreds of #RubinTeam members in Tucson, AZ and virtually around the world diving into NSF–DOE Rubin Observatory data and science together!

This was the first week-long workshop we've held since the first early data and images from Rubin in June. 🔭🧪

Assuming clear dark skies, there is an increased chance of seeing the aurora Friday and Saturday night. Those in Scotland, northern England and Northern Ireland have the best chance if the weather is favourable.

The largest black hole merger observed so far involved black holes with masses around 100 times that of the Sun, a range where the conventional formation process of stellar collapse is deemed impossible. The new observations suggest that some black holes form through a multimerger scenario.
