The Who, on Observer magazine covers from March 1966 & March 1972. The photos by Colin Jones & then Tony McGrath give a sense of how fast pop culture moved in the period. (In the second pic, Entwhistle can be seen trying to restrain Moon from continuing an unprompted attack on McGrath.)

Now I'll begin cleaning them up by hand. I use white gouache and typewriter correction film, etc. The more I can edit old school, the less I have to work on the pages in photoshop, and the less I have to work on the pages in photoshop, the better my life is.

This morning I cut up and organized the original pages for King-Cat 84... Figured out the page order. Was delighted and relieved that I ended up with exactly 48 pages, so no last minute scrambling. 1/4
