Well worth watching! A talk Paul Fine gave 30 years ago made a lasting impression on me.
It was Paul Fine’s retirement lecture at LSHTM last week. He’s had a fascinating career, and I’ve learned a huge amount from him over the years.

A key takeaway for me: it’s worth making most of interesting & unexpected opportunities when they arise, even if they push you outside your comfort zone.

In the last 6 months, the Welsh Labour Gov has sent 2 letters to their UK Labour colleagues asking them to change local housing allowance back to the 50th percentile (Wales has the fastest growing rents in the UK).

An FoI shows that UK Gov haven't bothered to reply to either.

Big news:

1. Leaked Welsh Labour report shows what went wrong in Caerphilly.

2. Sec of State for Wales seemingly doesn't attend Welsh Gov summit because she wasn't given speaking roll.

3. I questioned UK Gov minister who told Wales to "be grateful" for terrible rail deal.
