its truly remarkable, you have to really take the measure of it and it's almost hard to comprehend it, but the president of the united states is having texas invade illinois and oregon just to make twitter content

Wait until he reads this sternly written letter

Recently saw this played live and there’s no way it’s outside the top 25

…substance at the national stage. Turns out promising people things like cost of living reductions or popular policies help win elections! Kamala waited until the last week (when polling must have looked bad) to cave on $15 min wage and legalizing pot. Way too little too late.

I don’t buy the Americans are stupid or Americans are racist lines of argument. Probably less so than most countries!

I think we have one party that appears authentic (Trump will at least tell you the discriminatory/regressive things his base wants to hear). Democrats refuse to say anything of…

Yeah does seem about the right number. Not that I trust Newsom, but does feel like the 4th largest economy in the world (bigger than Japan or India!) should have some options

People like Gates think they deserve to be kings. Since they’re not allowed, they make their foundations answer to them, essentially creating their own kingdoms with their largesse. Which is to say, I don’t trust them to do anything. Wealth tax or bust.

Yeah figured it was something big like that since UCLA is over $1b alone. But seems like plenty to carry us for three years and deal with next election when it comes

$21b bond sure seems like it would…

Federal workers are speaking out on how the Trump regime is harming Americans:

"We stand here today at a moment of the greatest assault of our lifetimes on our freedoms. The US Constitution is being shredded... We are here to call on Congress to stand up and stop it."

…Let me say that again: Expert coders using "generative AI" demonstrated a nearly 20% *increase* in their time, vs when writing code on their own; oh, and those increases are *worse* on the tasks with which they have more familiarity.

But that's not even the crucial part; this is the crucial part:…

And maybe I could get him to send me $27 💰

Done. It’s insane, Dems caving on their morals for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. This is not an issue anyone votes on! 26th our of 27 across age groups!

It’s a Fox News talking point that’s used to distract from Rs ushering in fascism. @ezraklein.bsky.social

i challenge you to find cooler news today than “despite all odds against American scientific research rn, a CO researcher developed a temperature-stable, single dose rabies vaccine that works bc of particles coated in CANDY & SAPPHIRE, & it could help reduce rabies deaths in places w/o electricity”

They’re probably bad students!

We’ve asked this question to ourselves several times when seeing impressive rodent results like yours. I mean, it’s *possible* humans learn worst at rest? I dunno if it’s been studied much, but certainly staying active helps memory. I’d guess the effect is much more pronounced in rats though
johnsakon.bsky.social
Semi silly but semi serious question: doesn’t this imply that rats struggle to generate memories when moving and struggle to learn when at rest?

"On the last episode of his show before he was killed," Kirk told "his audience, falsely, that “one in 22 Black men will be a murderer in their lifetime” and that “by age of 23, half of all Black males have been arrested and not enough of them have been arrested.”
