I tend to keep to myself, so I don't post much. I mainly play video games, but I also follow technology and cats. I'm also a decent writer.
People really need to nail down what each rating means before they start giving out scores. For example, with me personally, a 7 would mean it's worth full price (most games don't reach this for me), a 6 is niche (stilll good for the right person), and a 5 is boring (which could be worse than bad).

The worst part is the first Xenoblade did it right. Either the boss one-shots your team or the fight cuts off after you take a certain amount of the boss's health.

I'm familiar with all of these except Everhood. Sell me on it.

Literally unplayable :)

Serious answer: Do not

Picking one of the longest games to play while raising a kid? In all seriousness, have fun!

Congratulations!

I played Monster Hunter 3 like...ages ago. It consumed me for a long time, so I was wary of getting into another one. No better game to test out my new Steam Deck, though!

I picked up Monster Hunter World last weekend on massive sale. I would have played it, but another game I was curious about, The Hundred Line, dropped a hefty demo, and I ended up playing that instead. I'll get to MH eventually!

With that said, I did come up with an idea: I can get a #SteamDeck and use that as my all-in-one computer and game box. I will probably need a proper computer at some point, but this feels like the right call as an interim solution.

My 10-year-old #Macbook that I used for college has gotten worn out. It doesn't hold a charge well, some web pages run slow on it, software doesn't support a machine this old, etc. I can't get a new laptop and a Switch 2 at the same time, it's just not in the budget.

Looks like you're up to 59 nights as of this writing.

I burned through my early luck back in Spacetime, unfortunately.

Another tip: This set has 75 cards and will be around for 2 months before the next set. If you pull your daily two packs, you should get most cards without spending hourglasses. I'm pretty sure I did that for Mythical Island, too.

Magnezone. But seriously, cards that mostly use colorless energy are a nice backbone, though they are usually weaker.

I think I just have an easier time keeping track of landmarks in 3D space, as opposed to 2D corridors

Exact opposite take from me. I just get horribly lost in all 2D metroidvanias. I even bounced off of Hollow Knight, in spite of how obviously amazing it is. Meanwhile, the Prime Trilogy is some of my favorite games of all time.

Disliking DK is definitely a take, but Crash is more divisive. I know I bounced off of Crash, especially 4.

My strategy is to spend all my hourglasses on a set at the start, then start saving for the next one. Events and monthly shop give a decent amount too.
