I remember people wondering in 2019, 2021, if we'd find immigrants in mass graves. Then comes 2025 and they pick up right where they left off.

Yes. JD is lying but his lies are hitting home with their base because they have them thinking that "undocumented immigrants" are the reason for all the bad that is going on in the country.

A day in the Portland war zone

The Portland War Zone isn't for everyone but at least the chaos is locally sourced.

Bari Weiss "is a self-described 'Zionist fanatic.' The idea that a 'neutral media organization' is led by someone who has a long history as a pro-Israel ideologue...is really worrying. I think there will be a lot more censorship of Palestinian voices." - me to Piers Morgan about CBS News and Weiss:

Kristi Noem compared antifa to MS-13, Hamas, Hezbollah & the Islamic State, calling the loosely affiliated network of antifascist street activists “just as dangerous” as designated terrorist organizations.

[July 29th, 1980] Skeptics tested 10 water diviners and metal detectors in a $40,000 challenge, but none successfully detected water or metals. Despite offering $10,000 prizes, all attempts failed, proving no better than random chance.

Trump: "We took the freedom of speech away because that's been through the courts and the courts said you have freedom of speech, but what has happened is when they burn a flag it agitates and irritates crowds."

I spent years of my life fighting for a medically necessary hysterectomy.

I was denied because I might “meet a man who wants kids some day”.

I was put on strong hormones that I didn’t want.

One of those was Depo Provera, which we now know is linked to brain tumours 🧵

I had stage four endometriosis and adenomyosis.

My periods would last weeks and put me in the hospital.

I needed regular blood and iron transfusions.

My uterus was slowly killing me, but doctors refused to remove it.

I didn’t want kids. I had never wanted kids.

I also wasn’t healthy enough to sustain a pregnancy, let alone capable of caring for a child.

Most days I could barely get out of bed.

Yet rather than operating I was pushed to take very strong hormones.

I was told that until I had tried every pharmaceutical option, surgery wouldn’t be considered.

The surgery would cure the adenomyosis and greatly improve the endometriosis… but I was denied autonomy over my own body.

All for a hypothetical future man and baby.

The fact that I didn’t want kids didn’t matter. The fact that I wasn’t healthy enough to have them didn’t matter.

I was told I would feel differently when I was “in love”.

That I might meet the man of my dreams and he might leave me if I’m barren.

Why was I finally able to access the surgery I had begged for years to receive?

I started bleeding out in the ER. They couldn’t stop it and I was dying.

Even then they asked my boyfriend if he would still love me once I was infertile.

None of it was possible with my diseased uterus still inside me.

I’m one of the lucky ones. I was only 24 when they operated, so I didn’t lose nearly as many years as most women do.

Many are forced to wait until they’re 35 or older to access the care they need.

You do not need your uterus to live.

We would never force a man to keep a diseased organ in his body because of what a hypothetical future wife might want.

The culture must change. We need full autonomy and equality, and we need it now.

Authoritarianism turns identities into crimes instead of crimes being based on actions.

We've always had some authoritarianism going on, especially for Black people, but now the DHS and the DOJ are turning beliefs into crimes.
