It's a proven politically disastrous strategy which succeeds only in fuelling the radical right.

Word of the Day is one I keep posting at the end of the year, hoping its time will come.

‘Respair’, from the 16th century, is fresh hope, and a recovery from despair.

Here’s to a few drops of respair in 2025.

Our land is thick with history. Our scheduled ancient monuments need protection but it’s not footfall threatening them, it is amnesia. Shocking that over 5,500 such sites have no right of access. Find your nearest lost monument using the @righttoroam.bsky.social map hosted by @stoneclub.bsky.social
REVEALED: over 1/4 of England's ancient landmarks have no right of public access.

Analysis from Right to Roam indicates over 5,500 scheduled monuments were off-limits, with trespass the only way to fully experience our heritage.
