That's definitely part of it, by the two lines flipped at the same time the iPhone was first released. Smart phones weren't omnipresent when the decline started.

Can’t decide what to buy on Prime Day?

Try: absolutely nothing, and then go support indie bookstores instead 📚

Man, this panel from @thisecommercelife.bsky.social hits perfectly. What's the over/under on there existing a real tombstone with an LLM written epitaph?
A tombstone that reads "Sure, I can help you with that! Here is a concise epitaph for your father's tombstone: Robert Wimbly, Deceased"

Not gonna lie, I thought this was a call back to the Coldplay kiss cam.

Technically, they're complaining it's the wrong woman.

According to the chuds, the Japanese voice actress Fairouz Ai is attractive, while the American voice actress and face model Erika Ishii is an unattractive "activist"

Normally, that crowd shouts "separate the art from the artist", but..

"Do you really mean that?" was covered in the book "Just Listen" by Dr. Mark Goulston in 2015.

Unlike this clickbait article, it also tells you what to do when someone says "Yes, I really mean that"

If there's just one piece of wisdom I can impart to everyone, it's that trying to post your way though it almost never works out the way you think it will

I feel like this might actually make my next D&D game more organized.

Is it only harassment when you don't personally agree with the criticism?

When you censored The Onion this week, was it not public criticism that led to you reversing the censorship?

You sold t-shirts mocking Zuckerberg. How is that not harassment?

He's also purposefully ignoring the actual concern. People aren't upset he's in Saudi Arabia because of a perception of the populace.

People are upset over the actions of the royals & the censorship baked into the contract.

Burr likes to criticize billionaires but then takes money from royals.

Your CEO used her official work account to remind people of the moderation policy and offer thoughts and prayers to Charlie Kirk, but she never did either of those things for Melissa Hortman, Harper Moyski, or Jonathan Joss.

To many of us, that gives the impression of bias in the moderation system.
jon.camp
I mean, this is the same person who used their official work account to send thoughts and prayers to Charlie Kirk's family, but has never commented on murdered school children, assassinated politicians, or lynched minorities.

Very clear where their priorities are; the same as every other CEO

Lowe's delivered our stove and would not hook it up because it's propane. You can bet your bottom dollar I called our plumber to do it.

Checking a connection for leaks with soapy water is fine for an outdoor grill but I want a professional in my house.

Those same people would be the first to decry "bystander apathy" if no one helped them while they were being physically assaulted in public.

"Sorry mate, I saw the robber hitting you, but live and let live, you know? Who am I to harsh a robber's vibe?"

Random musing: the fictional personification of user personas and trying to get your company to refer to them by name is counterproductive by harming your ubiquitous language.

Fred Fish isn't an engineer's function name, an accountant's QuickBooks code, or a marketer's target segment.

Chef is.

That's correct. ABC directly owns some local ABC stations, but they license the content to others, including ones owned by Sinclair.

So Kimmel will definitely appear on the corporate-owned stations and is available for the others to air, but they can choose not to.

It's hilarious how that happens! Bonus -- most of this cast dresses like an of brand Dr. Who.

There's no reason this company needed to spend tons of money on domains to sell licorice, caramels and taffy.

Probably explains why their Australian Red is $1.125 per oz while Wiley Wallaby is almost half that at $0.599 per oz.
A vending machine that contains stacks of cardboard tubes. At the top, it reads "licorice.com, caramels.com, taffy.com"

This is Moxxi. She's mad that I'm on a work trip even though the rest of the family is there with her.
