News to share. Elon Musk stepped down from leading the Department of Government Efficiency. In his parting words, he stated that him leaving is like Buddhism without Buddha. "Like a belief system, doesn't rely on one individual for its success" Take this information as you wish. #DrSethBuddhClass

I understand that there are six different worlds that you can technically be reborn. My question is how we know so much about other realms like Sun Wukong if we are not apart of their world. Are we connected or told by Buddha about these stories? #DrSethBuddhClass

I was doing some research around Japan and I found something I thought was cool. Zen Buddhism was so strong in Japan in brought in the forms of rock gardens, calligraphy, and tea cerimonies to influence the mind. #DrSethBuddhClass

I think the news is worth sharing. The king and queen of Thailand presented relicts sacred to Buddhist culture in Bhutan to strengthen diplomatic and spiritual relations to the two. I think it shows how strongly both countries consider the religion enough to determine bounds. #DrSethBuddhClass

When I was 14 and traveling in Bali, I went to some temples where I saw some monks kneel. My father told me that it was a representation of their humility and focus towards the path of enlightenment. Sometimes they show these demonstrations to the public and its nice to see. #DrSethBuddhClass

I found an article from Omark Productions that had an interesting take on how cats are closely related to Buddhist temples and teachings. They describe in Thailand that ther's a legend that has temple cats guarding sacred treasures and wrapping their tails to prevent theft. #DrSethBuddhClass

Gethin discusses the Buddha's teaching of the Middle Way as a path between extremes. (from the book)
How does this concept of the Middle Way apply to the modern day. Are we able to identify situations where avoiding extremes leads to better outcomes?

This picture was from a youtube video I watched about a tattooing competition. I think both look amazing. It's so cool to see people get tattoos of their religion to feel more of a connection to it and express themselves. #DrSethBuddhClass

I thought this was pretty important. On March 28th, Myanmar had an earthquake that collapsed some monasteries that monks were trapped under. 200 monks were estimated to be killed according to New York Times. #DrSethBuddhClass

This was a reference page for my yoga class to describe how we felt after doing some breathing exercises. I found it interesting how close yoga is tied with Buddhism. #DrSethBuddhClass

I was at a Vietnamese restaurant recently and noticed this golden tree. I took a picture (with consent of course) and asked a worker what the item was. They stated that it was something called a Bodhi Tree for a positive environment.

I'm curious why there aren't more Buddhist Monks in relation to the number of people who believe in Buddha. I thought the premise was to escape the cycle of reincarnation. Or are there different goals for people who practice Buddhism? #DrSethBuddhClass
