I've left the creepy twitter treehouse now and am giving this a go, hoping for open and good natured conversation with colleagues on open research, scholarly publication, Library and global issues.
2 reasons to be cheerful today: 3 democrat victories clearly demonstrating that lurching either right or left would be a BIG mistake and a new national curriculum that sounds like it'll prepare kids for the future and give some enrichment 😀

I'll be running the Coventry 10k on Sunday if anyone would like to donate towards Malaria Consortium. It's a consortium against rather than for malaria if that helps... www.justgiving.com/page/philrun...

Unbelievable. Donald Trump has been invited to a state visit to the UK. We should not be rolling out the red carpet to celebrate this man. Agree? Add your name to the petition today: you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/no...

Plea for libraries to support DOAJ if you can. Am a bit surprised some libraries aren't continuing their support and really if we want viable OA alternatives to major commercial agreements/TA's then we really need to put our money where our mouths are: subscriptionsmanager.jisc.ac.uk/catalogue/3015
