I wonder if that nihilistic Luma from the first movie will make an appearance.

really worked with the story which is the best one yet. FFIV feels like they looked back at FFII and said "let's do it right this time".

Also, you may notice I dropped FF a tier. As much as I respect it for all it accomplished as the first entry I just don't think it stands up next to III and IV.

FFIV is alongside 3 as one of the only classic Final Fantasys I had played prior to getting the Pixel Remakes. It's not quite as good as I remember but it certainly continues FF's trajectory of improvement with each entry. I missed the job system, but having each character have their own class

Remember when they used to call us snowflakes?

Gamechamp's content has not changed, only her pronouns have.

But apparently that's just too much "identity nonsense" for some people and they melt like the crystalline ice formations currently falling from the sky outside. What are those called again?

Power isn't an aphrodisiac, it's a steroid. Lots of people that have it think that they should be able to do what they want and not be limited by rules, or decency, or what other people might actually want, and people in their circle want the power enough to pay with other people's lives for it.

And at least with IndieWorld, I can be relatively confident the Switch 2 will run all the games well, but do any of us expect Rebirth to run well on that hardware?

Nintendo lives and dies on its exclusives so if they aren't showing off exclusives then people are far less interested in what they have brought to the table.

The partner showcase is usually the least interesting because it mostly shows off games that I'd rather get on stronger hardware. It really speaks to the core problem with Nintendo: it's nice to have games on the go, but if I wanna play something relatively new I wanna do it on my Xbox.

You mean the opposite of what Zohran Mamdani achieved?

Where he gets more than 60% of Democrats votes and yet the Democrat leadership refused to endorse him and instead endorse a sexual predator?

You mean like that?

I have a bit of an active backlog and a Mega Man hyperfocus to sort out at the moment, but I'm hoping to revisit Lost Odyssey before the year is out.
