I've had so much lovely feedback about this PART CHIMP article. Even heard from a guy who said he promoted the farewell LIGAMENT show I mentioned. Turns out he was a member of HEY COLOSSUS, another band I love & have seen live many times.

It’s nice when other journalists mention a book you’ve written. Here’s Electric Wizards popping up in an article about the mighty PART CHIMP on the excellent Echoes And Dust site. Thanks @jonezyboy.bsky.social 🙉

Yeah, old rockers who talk about Sabbath & Motorhead being the loudest have obviously never heard Chimp. I saw Jim Jones when he was in Thee Hypnotics in the early 90s. A lifetime of gigs ago.

Cheers. Yeah Gnod can be very loud too, but mellow on other live occasions. The New Cross was a terrific show, you couldn't move! Some of the cool footage on the Chimp FB page is mine. The sound was perfect, balanced between noise & volume. With old fav encore 'Hello Bastards' tunes too!

Iain Hinchliffe: guitar hero. Nobody does it better. Bring the noise.

Part Chimp have been a thing now for 25 years. These years have given me absolutely the best experiences of my life.

I'm glad that some of our stupid endeavours have found an audience, resonating more with some than others. @jonezyboy.bsky.social

I dip my toes into music journalism with this detailed piece about my love for noise rock band PART CHIMP. I've lost count of the times I've seen this awesome band in sweaty basement pubs! @terekhova.bsky.social knows what I'm talking about.
