It’s incomprehensible… XX century is so well documented, so many papers, books, discussions, movies, tv series and still you need to state the obvious. It is difficult to accept how vulnerable to stupidity we are as a species☹️
Macron:

“But we must not forget one point—if anyone is playing the Third World War, it is Vladimir Putin. He was the one who started the war three years ago, and he brought 10,000 North Korean soldiers to European soil.”

Amen.
We said “as long as it takes,” and well, it's gonna take a bit longer. Europe doesn’t need to back down now, not for Putin, not for Trump, not for anyone else who tests us. We can step up and stand firm. Here’s how:🧵1/8

BREAKING: Representative Sam Liccardo to introduce a bill that would block the president, members of Congress and other senior officials, as well as their spouses and children, from issuing or sponsoring securities and cryptocurrencies like memecoins

This!
What needs to happen to avoid this all-too-likely disaster? My hope lies with Europe, with the appearance of a leader with Churchill’s resolve, the spirit to say we will never surrender, we will defend all of Europe, from Ukraine to Portugal.🧵15/17

Two weeks into President Trump’s sweeping freeze on foreign aid, HIV groups abroad have not received any funding, jeopardizing the health of more than 20 million people, including 500,000 children.
Trump’s Foreign Aid Freeze Leaves Millions Without HIV Treatment
President Trump’s pause on aid, and the gutting of the primary aid agency, could jeopardize the health of more than 20 million people worldwide, including 500,000 children, experts say.

Those nominations are crazy and dangerous.
"Kennedy and Gabbard weren’t just chosen because Trump wanted to reward loyal surrogates—they were chosen because they will happily indulge his paranoia and any conspiracy theory that serves his purposes."
Gabbard and RFK Jr. Were Nominated to Destroy, Not to Lead
Both nominees have shared bizarre conspiracy theories about the organizations they may soon oversee.

Don’t like the guy and I think he is really dangerous but as it comes to cost cutting I wish him luck. Must admit that getting rid of 80% twitter staff made it worse but definitely not 80% worse.
Elon Musk’s allies are turning a once-obscure federal IT unit into the linchpin of their sweeping campaign to tear down the federal bureaucracy, sparking fears of improper overreach and chaos among tech employees in the government.
How Elon Musk’s deputies took over the government’s most basic functions
Elon Musk and his allies are harnessing tech units and other agencies that handle daily federal operations to amass sweeping control of the executive branch.

There are many stupid things Trump has done or is planning to do, but this is not one of them. Finally! 🙌

There’s always a reason to dislike someone—be it race, religion, orientation, or wealth. Yet, those touched by the latter are rarely met with sympathy, as if being wealthy makes you immune to others’ compassion.

Some people never learn☹️
The words we heard from the main actors of the AfD rally about “Great Germany” and “the need to forget German guilt for Nazi crimes” sounded all too familiar and ominous. Especially only hours before the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz.

How do you determine where someone is from? By asking. Nobody in this world can tell just by appearance where a person is from.

P.S. Except russіаns, that💩 is recognizable from afar🤷‍♀️

Great thread! Many people mistakenly equate cash with net worth.
I got rich because when I was broke I had nothing to lose. So I took risks and built companies. I became a billionaire because I was fortunate enough to start another tech company when the internet boom hit. I stayed one because I realized that stocks don’t go up forever and hedged my holdings
This is why @mcuban.bsky.social is a billionaire. 🤔

A witty, but respectful answer, followed up by a respectful question.
