I've decided to start sharing some items from my collection that really fuel my enthusiasm, partially as an antidote to the current infection of retro grifters, but also because I want to.

My 35+ year obsession with R-Type shows no sign of abating. Here's my ZX Spectrum version.

I asked my wife I'd she thought we could have a carpet like this, and her response was an impassioned "Please, no.".

Absolute philistine.

On the upside, I'm quite enjoying playing Crow County.

Currently prototyping, merely needs a logo sticker and I think he'll be done.

Time for some more of this. It's a rather good game that I'm enjoying so far. It isn't a good Prince of Persia game though, if that makes sense.

I'm playing it via a PlayStation Plus subscription, as I've learned to become comfortable not buying Ubisoft games. I think that's what they wanted.

Not being American, I've got got four. Not sure if this can be classed as a victory, though.

Task Force 3 are the victims of discrimination and persecution here on Bluesky. Not only are they suppressed from the Tenor search function, but manually posting them in Gif form crashed my laptop

This kind on treatment, no doubt on the behest of Big Daddy, will not be tolerated. Make no mistake.

I wonder where AWA Software's artist got their inspiration from. Not that they were in any way unique in producing "tribute" images for their cover art. After all, even full on "tribute" games were ten-a-penny in 1983.

I finished the PlayStation 4 version of "The Pedestrian" last night. A very enjoyable, well designed puzzle game with a variety of mechanics and concepts, none of which are overused nor do any outstay their welcome.

Not that they'll see it, but I'd still like to offer my thanks to the developers.

I know there is definitely a proper context to it, but these references to something being "posted on Twitter" contained within the developer messages on the CD for "Detana TwinBee Yahho! Deluxe Pack" for the Playstation are still messing with my perception of reality. It was released in 1995.

Age yourself with a cartoon you watched as a kid.

I did only watch the repeats though, on account of not being born on it's original showing.

Here's my local one on Google maps (I don't go anywhere near it to be able to take an actual photograph). You'll have to excuse the scrotty image quality.
