Very unusual, sad case: a man who opened fire on an intruder at an oil and gas lease near Red Deer has been given 10 years in prison.

Crown and defence suggested this was a case of a vigilante upset about rural crime, but the reality is much stranger.

Walmart pulled out of Prince Rupert, B.C. after citing safety issues that most locals interpreted as the fact the sidewalk outside is unstable (there was a collapse in May) but also as an excuse because the store wasn't profitable enough.

However, the Daily Mail went with this
