I make things, sometimes they even work.
Snapped and unscrewed it from the wall. It’s a homeopathic switch, I assume at one point the heater was attached to it rather than the economy 7 circuit. This is fantastic news!

Credit to you man, I had an assortment of minimum wage jobs but none of them were enough to actually pay rent or bills. (And honestly, I had it comfortable so never had to push for it)

I really wish there a way to systematise the dicking around with stuff that’s interesting until it accidentally becomes a career path route. Its one hell of a way to get a broad base of experience but only really works if you’ve got patient parents who can afford to be exasperated at you for a while

No, you’ve misunderstood. It’s just one of those people who are adamant the live in Ilford because that bumps their house price a bit.

Come on, that’s hilarious, why wouldn’t you tell your partner about a funny thing happening during your day?

I bet half the people saying that don’t even feel that passionately about it, they’re just the types who see a rule and it doesn’t occur to them that maybe the rules might be wrong and shouldn’t be enforced.

Is it one with changeable antennas? If so, get the biggest antenna you can, we do that with devices at work and can get signal from all but the deepest and darkest of concrete basements.

Counterpoint: Return of the King is approximately six million hours long as it is. Protip from my recent rewatch, pretend that last film was made a decade later and the released it as RotK Pt 1 & 2, it would really have benefited from being watched over two nights.

Damn it, I don’t go to the monster truck rally to hear about Trump’s Greenland ambitions.

Italian voice actor Carlo Bononi was the voice of all of the characters on Pingu. A trained clown by trade, he used a theater technique called grammelot, which consists of "speaking" in a mix of babbled gibberish noises. He improvised all the voices live and unscripted.

The really cool thing about being an adult is that you can in fact take the 12 week course.

I’m not wildly against that, at least in well designed games, but there’s no end of less well designed games which either have pointless boss fights (looking at you Deus Ex), or some other out of place section.

Also there’s something about multi-phase boss fights that fills me with rage.

To counter that, I’ve often thought “I wish someone could beat this boss fight for me so I could get back to having fun”. There are *so many* games I’ve abandoned because suddenly I’m expected to get a sequence of moves perfectly executed rather than being able to fumble through.

Precisely. There’s a reason I approach that like a clickbait YouTube thumbnail.
