I don't recall seeing another business make their main product free for commercial use - pay if you want to - kind of licensing. I use and really like @obsidian.md and will continue to support them by paying for licenses. Checkout their note / PKM app ->

The goal for atproto is more than one “bluesky” — other complete, independent apps on their own servers that work directly with each other.
