I might start listening to @gaslightanthem.bsky.social '59 Sound album every Friday. We take music everywhere these days but it's one of the few albums I would sit and do nothing and just listen.

I do hope that someone works with young families (especially those who aren't homeowners) about how important it is to make financial arrangements in case the worst happens. We are seeing young men in public life like Jota and Hatton die, it could be any one of us.

Such sad news. He was a hero in a golden era of British boxing. Whatever has happened and wherever he is now, I hope he's at peace.

I was up til a silly time last night finishing off a drawing to give to a friend this weekend but it was definitely worth it, I have 15 minutes of work left on it (just drawing/erasing white eyelashes on a cat) then spray with fixative and frame.

Happy Shropshire Day to all friends round the Wrekin 💙💛 Lyth Hill was beautiful this afternoon even in dodgy weather. We're so lucky to have places like this on our doorstep and our county deserves to be marketed much better as a great place to live, work, study, visit and do business.

I don't check my student loan after they rightly stopped sending paper statements but my balance is over £50k for a Bachelor's degree after 5 years full time work and 2 years as a middle earner. They offered me a refund for 22/23 and I took it because I won't be paying it back fully.

With 'nice' men like Andrew Gwynne who needs openly nasty ones. I hope he issues a fuller apology and commits to the fight against all forms of discrimination.

Debunking can be a fun way to find an audience in science communication, but I think it can be over-relied on.

We should be celebrating more than we are defending, not just because it’s less miserable, but also because it’s good marketing!

Better transport in Shrewsbury has been one of my priorities since I was elected back in July.

Many residents have let their frustrations known about the lack of carriages on the trains that ferry us to the UK's second biggest city.
Shrewsbury-to-Birmingham commuter route to get longer trains
The new trains will be introduced to the line between Shrewsbury and Birmingham in the spring.

I do hope Pauline and her work are celebrated and she's able to enjoy some of the love. She has been a champion for the arts and for young people as well as a brilliant actress in Birds of a Feather, Maisie Raine, Emmerdale and Broadchurch.

For the first time in 17 years, government will review how every pound of tax payers money is being spent.

In the spending review, we will make sure public spending delivers our Plan for Change.

Probably the best cover of all time, it blows my mind that Otis Redding wrote and recorded the song two years before.
'Respect' by Aretha Franklin, released by Atlantic in 1967.

For United fans, Denis Law was nothing less than the King. A wonderful player and a wonderful man, and a scorer of goal after goal after goal in the 1960s.

A Ballon d'Or winner, iconic goal scorer, and treasured part of our club's history, Denis embodied everything we hold dear.

Brenton Wood wrote The Oogum Boogum song because he desperately needed a hit.

The meaning of the song was another way to say Abracadabra to those he believed were against him.

My main hope is for 2025 is that we see less racism. I'm proud to be from Shrewsbury, have studied in North Staffordshire and work in Birmingham and my life is better for the first and second generation immigrants I've crossed paths with.
