I did it. I finally did it. The first draft of my second novel is finally finished. 110K words. 30 chapters. Twice the suspense and twice the darkness. Now it is time to polish it and start working on the translation afterwards. 🥳 #authors #writer #scifi

Lately, I find it more interesting and fun to write the "bad guy's" backstory and plan than the "good guy's ". Hell! The day might come when the "good guys" say: "You know what? Fair point, I'm in!" 😂 #writer #author

If a line, a paragraph, or a chapter you just wrote made you scowl, it doesn't mean you are a bad writer. You are not. Any creative profession requires time and dedication until their masterpiece is perfect. Don't expect to nail it on the first try. Best wines are the ones that age longer. #author

50.000 words reached on my WIP! 🥳 I can now say I am technically halfway through the novel. Maybe. Possibly. I make no promises, though. #author #writer

The real struggle as an author is to avoid copying yourself. Writing a new standalone novel I catch myself more than once saying, "Oh, I like this character. It actually reminds me of... Oh, no... Back to the drawing board with you!" #author #writer

"Common, even if you are bad at remembering names, you surely remember the ones from your own novels, right?" "Of... Of course!" he laughed nervously. "How could I have forgotten the name I just wrote a few pages ago? It was...," he said while frantically searching, "Tom." #author #writer

With all that's happening, I feel I'm gonna run out of popcorn at this rate... 🍿 👀

AI will never be able to replace a human when it comes to doing anything creative. When reading a book or watching someone's art, you also witness a piece of that author's life, communicating with them. There is no life behind AI, nor it ever will be. Just a sterile monologue. #writer #author

I must say, with everything that is happening nowadays, as a dystopian author, it is becoming every day more challenging to find new ideas that haven't already happened! #writer #author #scifi

Cure against writer's block: go for a stroll, train, read, or keep your mind busy with anything that makes you happy. Your mind will be unconsciously working on your WIP, and it's this sporadic rest that will boost your creativity afterwards. Just remember: Don't. Stop. Writing! #author #writer

What would be the one book that inspired you to become an author? Doesn't have to be a good one. Could have been one so bad you said: "Hell, I can do it better!" Philip K. Dick will remain one of my favourites as well as Lovecraft. Always try to blend both into my own stories! #author #writer

When writing, I like to prioritise simplicity and fluidity over unnecessary complexity. If things get too convoluted, take two steps back, look at the bigger picture, and start trimming. As someone with acute ADHD, nothing loses my attention faster than a story that is going nowhere. #author #writer

Being an author is learning to master the delicate balance between wanting to throw your WIP out the window and being so obsessed with it you won't stop talking about it. The Yeet and Yap of self-publishing. #author #writer

It is funny how sometimes, when you are in the "zone", not even your own brain can interfere while writing. - Shouldn't we at least add some colourful description to this part? - NO TIME! The plot thickens and can't be distracted by trifles. Try again during the next revision! #writer #author

How is writing with bad memory, you say? You start reviewing your first draft after a long time in the drawer, and when you are halfway through a paragraph, your brain starts thinking: "You know? This would sound GREAT if you just finished it... exactly the way you did it". 😂 #writing #author

Writing is such an interesting process. I feel you get to know more about yourself while doing it than you would by trying to describe yourself to somebody. It's almost a cathartic experience. #author #writer

"A true artist is not one who is inspired, but one who inspires others” — Salvador Dalí. Both as an industrial designer and as a sci-fi author I can't but agree. Happy birthday to such a great artist! #author #writer #art

I must say Philip K. Dick was certainly one of my favourite writers when it comes to sci-fi novels. The psychological depth he always gave to the characters was fascinating, all while keeping the world around them simple yet evocative. Which is the author who inspired you most? #author #writing

Apparently, the Amazon boycott will last until the 12th of May, affecting many indie authors who are just looking to make a living. It is horribly unfair, but hopefully it won't last long. Hold up until then! #author #writer
