Yeah, I read on Reddit that they did something similar with Bookbub ads and some people are spending $300-700 a week, which is untenable for smaller authors.

Might still give FB ads a go and see if the change is so bad. Thanks for the advice! :)

I was recommended by another author to use the Matthew Holmes strategy, which is focused on untargeted FB ads running daily. He now says the algorithm has changed, and he has moved to Bookbub, so I am considering my options. :/ Amazon ads I never made it work. You need BIG bids to compete there.

Are they really that useless? I was considering using them for the first time, but I fear they will be as Amazon ads...
