So I had a Zoom meeting with my copy editor yesterday about my novella, which I thought was ready for her to work on. But she read it before the meeting and said, “I can’t copy edit this. It isn’t any good.” So after a long discussion, I am back at the writing table. Can’t do without her.

I’m about 90 pages into Paul Murray’s The Bee Sting and I’ve got tears running down my face, partly because it’s so funny, but also because I’ll never be that good a writer.
