Beyond disappointed with the Gardyn, had it for about 1 month and broken during a required cleaning cycle today. Sad because it was growing things and now my daughter will be very disappointed to not have veggies to nibble on as they grow. Quality is very bad, so won’t be asking for a replacement.

Funny thing about this post is that American governments are poorly ran for exactly this mindset. If you wanted the best people to run things, you’d have to pay them proper. Feeding America is raking in over $5B annually, so perhaps she’s actually underpaid.
I was just thinking about contributing to the "charity" Feeding America. Until I discovered that the salary for its CEO, Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, was approximately $949,866 in 2024, with her total compensation being $1,113,502. Apparently, feeding America isn't her top priority.

I started “morning trading” my daughter’s UTMA account since April. I basically spend 15 minutes doing daily trades based on current events. It’s outperformed my own portfolio, up 56% 1YR (really most of it in last 6 months) — I wish my IRA and 401k had these gains 😂
