I’ve been to Wembley with United in 1993, 1997, 2009, 2012, and 2023. I was abroad for the goal-fest vs Hull in 2015, so the only time I have seen us score at Wembley was on that very first visit.
At the v least today, I want to have seen someone other than Alan Cork score for us there #bskyblades

It is, on further inspection, apparently a cat. Though even the Sheffield City archives feel the need to put this in inverted commas.
Note it appears to have been added onto this photo after it had been taken, which doesn’t in any way make it any less unsettling.

It’s today 100 years since United’s last Wembley win in the 1925 FA Cup final vs Cardiff.
And in looking at the coverage at the time, I cannot unsee the absolutely-not-terrifying ‘lucky mascot’ in these old images.

Wes Streeting mentioned June as when we’ll be seeing the 10 Year Health Plan published plus life sciences strategy.
Really critical of egs where drugs have gone through NICE only for half to be used by NHS. Also spoke of a life sciences sector with too many regulations/regulators

Afternoon #ABPIConf25 has kicked off with the panel considering how to rebuild UK attractiveness for research. Nicola Perrin from @amrc-uk.bsky.social stresses that building up the resources & capacity to do research in a primary care setting is essential to changing the way we think about research

Great panel session to kick off this year’s @abpi.bsky.social conference. Illuminating slide from IQVIA’s Tim Sheppard highlighting the extent of the geographic variation in innovation uptake of NICE medicines by ICB board #ABPIConf25

Great to support @prostateproject.bsky.social today as they brought their Man Van into Parliament to provide PSA testing to MPs, peers, and Parliamentary staff.
Super turnout, they were booked to capacity – with most getting a PSA test for the first time #ProstateCancerAwarenessmonth

At Wadham Lodge today for @walthamstowfc.bsky.social on #NonLeagueDay.
Their opponents Grays Athletic finished 3rd in the National League in 2005/06, losing in the playoffs to Halifax (then managed by one Chris Wilder). They’ve fallen since to the Isthmian North, but well on top at half-time

On challenging this new error, DS corrects it again and gives a correct list of pilot clubs, explaining again why it got all of this wrong.
It’s a more conclusive and accurate – but it’s required me to know the detail and challenge it. It’s a niche topic, but should be simple for AI to get right

When specifically asked about the pilots, DS realises the error. But presented with the open goal of just correcting its original answer and simply giving the correct 5 clubs, it for some reason wants to get Brentford in on the act.
Brentford introduced safe standing, but only after the pilots.

When challenged, it doesn’t exactly roll back the claim about the Blades being one of the pilot clubs – Spurs, Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City and Cardiff were the pilots announced by the UK Government in 2021 widely covered across UK sports media.
But it’s nice about it, and explains why it happened.

There are websites + v searchable sources that give you a simple answer, available within the DS data scope (Oct 2023).
The result: well presented, surprisingly error-laden, v apologetic when challenged. Answer 1 claims the club is proactive on it (I wish!), claiming it was 1 of the pilot clubs

Great away end today too in freezing conditions – drove the team on when the players had to dig in. Lovely moment with Brooks’s fine finish in front of the away end #bskyblades

A really different feel compared to the UK – in one of the standing sections, surrounded by families with young kids, positive atmosphere throughout despite the score, and with alcohol allowed where you stood. We even had a guy delivering Glühwein to your area – v welcome given it was freezing!

Taking in my first Bundesliga game with Leipzig-Wolfsburg. Wolfsburg have been deadly – took 3 chances in the opening 15 mins to storm ahead. Could have been more. Leipzig look tired and sloppy. Patrick Wimmer for Wolfsburg has been superb – involved in everything, has terrified the Leipzig defence

Gladiator II – it felt about 90% a retake of the original, adding in Emperors Jedward, a nonsensical plot, and a sprinkling of Jaws to boot. And yet despite the ridiculousness, it was quite a fun watch.
Also, one of the best uses of the IMAX’s circular exterior for the film marketing.
