It’s been 3,174 days since I escaped corporate life. I was 44. My children were tiny. Now they're teenagers.

Today I turn 53, and we are infinitely happier here, in our farmhouse by the ocean. No more meetings. No more commute.

If I can escape, you can too (because I'm a dumbass). #Life #Art

this is my quiet time

watching dawn
rise

a sacred space
few will know

it feeds my soul
with its glow

Sunlight glistens
On a droplet
Adorning a pink petal
I catch it
For just a #moment
And yet
All of eternity
Is laid out before me

Golden mist on the morning tide.
Whispers where the sea dreams hide.
Stone and sand in a hush remain.
Bathed in the sun’s soft amber flame.
Broken posts stand in place.
Peace walks here with quiet grace.

In the Arabian Nights, travelers pitch tents in the desert under a canopy of stars, telling tales to pass the time and survive the night. Storytelling and camping are kin; both stretch across the unknown with hope and wonder. #FairyTaleTuesday
