Pretty sure you can just do two aim constraints with the correct offsets looking at each other if your hierarchy is clean-ish

Been attending some Melbourne Beyblade tournaments recently and have been surprising myself!!

Throw back to over 2 years ago?!

At that time I was developing a real-time paint stroke post-processing package for Unity. I moved on because some of the tech + learning in that unlocked an even cooler rendering pipeline that I'm using in our current game.

Another crazy cool thing you can do with mesh shells:

Color Channel Splitting (screen printing errors) / Abberation on a per-object basis without any post-processing at all!

(...with a few caveats, this is highly experimental ahah ~~ 😘)

after refining the shells and textures, we don't need extra flyaway thread meshes, this is totally felt-y enough.

Update on the needle felting explorations: the custom shell render feature was a success!

Now I've gotta work out if I want to mess with geometry shaders for the fins... adding those fly-away threads are really gonna sell it 🤔

(best example I found: github.com/jiaozi158/Sh...)

#gamedev #techart friends, I'm searching for good, semi-modern implementations of Shell and Fin rendering (Unity URP preferably, but I can convert whatever) that can approximate things from plush toy to needle felting, but PARTICULARLY needle felting.
