Oh so Miami feels the same way. Football is like a hot potato.

That league is really not beating the allegations of being a dumpster fire.

I really hope they have a 9-0, 8-1, and 8-0 team in the mix next year for maximum chaos. Bonus points if the two 8-win teams have better overall records than the 9-0.

This explains SO MUCH. I had assumed it was just a grift, but the reality is so much darker.

Was coming here to say exactly this.

They’d send Roger Federer for me. Fed’s one of my favorite athletes ever, he’d be perfect at giving me the hive sales pitch

I’ve occasionally questioned your palate because of the whole cheese thing, but you are spot on with this one. Lemon pepper all the things

Honestly, it’s probably better for them to not play than to do what FSU did two years ago and stay in their bowl game but sit virtually everyone so that the game was over by the second quarter.

Or switch Bama and Miami?

The only first round game that I’m remotely interested in is Aggies vs. Canes AKA the Notre Dame bowl. They can keep the rest of them.

Correct. The NCAA basketball tour has 68 spots and the 69th still gripes about being snubbed every year.

The biggest shock was that it happened to the Giants and not the Jets

I mean, it’s no weirder than UVA losing to fellow ACC member NC State but it not counting as a conference loss because it wasn’t a game scheduled by the conference, apparently!

I guess the bottom line is really that the ACC is just a chaotic yet oddly entertaining tire fire! 😂

I think what’s funnier is that the championship games were kinda needed in the old system with divisions and only one team (rarely two) per league making the smaller playoff, but now they’re often a liability yet the leagues can’t let them go because they love the money they bring in.
