“Defending liberty” was just the mask they wore to hide their true intent.

Republicans never cared about states’ rights, individual liberty, or the Constitution.

They wielded those ideals as a smokescreen. They were tools of deception used to seize power and construct the most oppressive, authoritarian administration America has seen in modern times.

After World War II, countless Nazis became prisoners of war—utterly defeated.

And yet, even then, America gave them due process.

Liberals will never abandon the rule of law.

Not even for the most abhorrent, evil people among us.

Not then. Not now. Not ever.

New IJ lawsuit filed today challenging ICE raids of construction sites, wherein ICE detains American citizens in AL, rejects their proof of citizenship, and holds them without PC.

Worth a read, and more evidence of the wide gulf b/w what SCOTUS says is happening and what is actually happening.

This whole incident is revealing a real crisis of trust in the FBI, it's hard to imagine how the FBI restores any credibility in the Trump administration, but that's what happens when you turn the entire government and related institutions into forums for loyalty tests and persecution.
