Worth remembering when Zuckerberg was testing the presidential waters in Iowa in 2017 as the patron saint of reviving small town America. You know, like "any common person" - a thing people definitely say about other people as a compliment.

I don't understand how this isn't a clear cause of civil action across nearly all states, with criminal consequences attached to the CSAM.

Seems like 1) a pretty obvious cause of action, along with 2) something a savvy political party would be promising to legislate against. I don't think women of any age or political party think this should be legal or want to support a movement that does.

For a decade the Democratic establishment and media was saying "don't worry, twitter isn't real life, go offline." Then that suddenly became "the poster-in-chief keeps consolidating more power and Democrats lose because of the crucial podcasting moron vote." Turns out the internet was real.

I really like Maddow, but a world where their cable channels are devoted to pumping out propaganda at scale and our are devoted to refuting it line by line is a recipe for everything we see now.

I did - I considered that a prospective case in the sense it wasn't complete. Also - do you think they didn't have enough evidence against Ghislaine Maxwell to win that case, even showing the other side everything they had?

1) Maybe exposing Trump's role was of particular importance versus the other prospective cases, and 2) if there were in fact high profile prosecutions since then this theory would come off as a lot more credible.

I don't see anyone rejecting her help in opposing Trump - but beyond her telling the right she's embarrassed she beclowned herself there's no broader role she's earned.

Part of birthdays should be learning a little bit about the year on the opposite end of your birth year. For example, someone born in 2000 celebrating in 2025 should also pause to reflect on 1975, 25 years before 2000, just to appreciate how fast things have changed and how recent the past is.
