I’m not saying that the mayor doesn’t deserve a raise, I’m saying he doesn’t deserve a 25% raise when other public employees who have more difficult jobs and make less commensurate to their education level, effort and intelligence can rarely get get more than a 2% raise every 2-3 years.

…and then work our way up to people like the mayor at the top. Public loses their mind when teachers get a 2% pay raise…maybe teachers and mayor could get 5% pay raises next year and work our way up together?

$142,000 feels like a small salary in comparison to CEOs, people in private business. But for public employees like me that seems like a really high salary! I think public employees should be paid more like CEOs, but maybe we start first with compensating the people low on the ground like me…

IDK….i’m a teacher with a masters degree and I will never make $142,000. Love to hate on Jacob Frey, but also believe that every teacher in my district works harder than him and any other mayor in our history 🤷‍♀️

I worked for SLP schools, increased security, provided escorts for students who walk to/from school, are encouraging families not to come to school for pick up/dismissal when ICE vehicles have been spotted. Know of a group who has been following suspected vehicles/reporting them-not sure beyond that

Do you know about any other groups/trainings? ICE presence also high right now in St. Louis Park, hoping to help support that community as well…
