Injury will force Andrew Nabbout to watch the A-Liga Men’s grand final from the stands.

But ask anyone at Melbourne City and they'll tell you not even a ruptured ACL could stop him from helping them get there.

I spoke with him.

At #MVCvWUN looks like a half decent crowd for post pandemic Victory building.

Can't help but feel WU get up for these derbies much more than Victory. Plus the damage Kisnorbo did it could be an upset for WU. Walatee, Vickery, Botic and Ibusuki are an exciting attacking force.

The form suggests that Melbourne City's men should have little to fear when Brisbane comes to town on Saturday.

But as Aurelio Vidmar observed, if you get too comfortable in football, you get "smashed in the face".

Melbourne City are no stranger to losing players overseas - it's something the club takes pride in and wants to build on.

But ALW boss Michael Matricciani is hopeful he can keep his group together for a little while yet

I assume De Silva is injured? He was good against us. Surprised we have seen so little of Nicolau this season. Jurman is another suprise.

Hopefully last week's result gives Perth something to build on.

That first half from Sydney FC showing why we need the NYL back. Sydney's youngsters much better than Kaya but the rust from lack of gametime shows. #ACLTwo

Fantastic player on his day, on all others one of the most frustrating. Provided some bright spots in the dark years.
