This is what my #piano obsession often looks like. Yesterday's haul from the Juilliard store (they're having a Black Friday sale). My new ragtime library (titles in the ALT). Henle is also having a sale on their purchase credits (25%).
Ragtime books, from Grade 1 to infinity. There are Martha Mier Jazz, Rags, and Blues (1-4), Faber Bigtime Ragtime (4), Alfred's Ragtime Classics, William Albright's Dream Rags, and William Bolcom's Complete Rags for Piano.

I've been thinking about what I can to lower anxiety in my #piano lesson. When nervous, I have trouble focusing on the sheet in front of my face. It's like I can suddenly no longer read the music that I've been reading nearly every day for 6 weeks. I tense up, my eyes dart around ... 1/

My piano lesson is today. I started studying 9/23, and have been seeing a teacher for a few months (after using a method book by myself for a year). I started from scratch at 52. I decided I wasn't going to look back on my life and wish I'd day-jobbed harder. Piano is my depression medicine. #piano
This is the sheet music for the famous Petzold Minuet in G major often attributed to Bach. I use forScore to mark to my music and Minuet in G major has lots of markings on it to help me through the piece. One tricky measure is highlighted red and circled in light green. I played that measure a hundred times.
