It’s not a compliment to call a series a film, much as it’s not a compliment to call a film a painting. They’re different mediums, regardless of experimentation. And it’s important to recognize the specificities of media because A.I. is being deployed to erase and replace segments of our workforce.

A film is a director’s vision, a visual adaptation of a screenplay. A television series is a creator/showrunner’s vision, each episode brought to life by a hired director *in service of that vision.* (This remains the same, even in cases where a showrunner writes and directs all episodes.)

I also think “snub” — like “reboot,” “showrunner” and “iconic” — is a word that has completely lost its meaning.

Both AMAZING examples. Especially “In Dreams.”

Also got to wear a mesh shirt on national television, so you’re welcome. (Not a costume, how I actually dressed in Vancouver.)

You covered most of mine, including some in the thread below.

I’ll throw in one from ROS - the payoff of Luke resurrecting his X-Wing. Got me in the guts.

Also, for my money, the below from TLJ might be my favorite Yoda scene in the whole Saga. Just beautiful.
