Someone should probably inform the White House's "AI & Crypto Czar" that no one is forcing AI companies to train their models on Wikipedia
Tweet by David Sacks: "Wikipedia is hopelessly biased. An army of left-wing activists maintain the bios and fight reasonable corrections. Magnifying the problem, Wikipedia often appears first in Google search results, and now it’s a trusted source for AI model training. This is a huge problem."

The RMI hosted a workshop on urban resilience to climate change, bringing together researchers, experts, and city representatives to discuss a shared challenge: making our cities more resilient to extreme heat events.

Thanks for this. It's super interesting.
I've noticed that the argument does not rely crucially on tidal dissipation, but rather on radiative forcing (unless I missed something). isn't there a risk that high e or i might lead to too high internal heating?

As the climate warms, extreme events are becoming more frequent and intense worldwide. But who will be most exposed in the decades ahead and why? A new study answers this by comparing future exposure to floods, heatwaves, droughts and compound hot–dry events.

☀🌕 On September 7, there will be a #totallunareclipse. However, totality will only be visible in Belgium between 20:17 (moonrise) and 20:53 (end of totality), local time in Uccle. For better observation, find a place with a clear horizon between east and south-east. robinfo.oma.be/en/as...

The Europa clipper is on its way to investigate the ice shell and ocean of the Jovian moon Europa. Here's what the interior of Europa looks like as we know today. Values of layer depth estimates taken from Vance et al., 2018. 🧪⚛️

A picture showing the interior layers of Jupiter's moon Europa. It shows an inner core, on top of which is a hot mantle, an ocean overlying it and finally covered by ice. The surface texture is also included showing crisscross "chaos" terrains, craters etc.

Oh, good…

Nice to see how the “new” Bluesky Moderation is being handled.
A screenshot of a Community post from Jessie Gender.

“Gotta laugh to keep from being pissed - my Bluesky account got suspended - presumably because I did a post saying "I also wish ill to JK Rowling" in response to and solidarity with another trans person getting her account suspended for saying the same. So that's the state of things on Bluesky nowadays. It's ok though, JK Rowling can still actively use her money to harm trans people and also get a multibillion dollar tv series, don't worry!”

Below her text is a partial screencap from BlueSky moderation which reads:
