PERHAPS I WAS STUCK IN THE UNEMPLOYMENT LINE.

(I didn’t see a DM and, as always, I just like to gig you a bit)

There is a great current crop of young journalists in town and that is encouraging. If I can ever help, drop me a line. Unless I do make a comeback and then I will likely start a twitter beef with you.
Finally, please keep supporting local journalism.

Unsure if I'm staying in journalism or not. It's always been a passion, but it's getting harder to survive and do the work I want to do. (Keep sending tips tho, I may free lance!) I may take a little time off to focus more on bitching about sports.

Unfortunately, the industry is changing & I'm moving along. WDRB kept its promises from day 1 & I'll always appreciate that. I will sorely miss the cast of characters I worked with. This will also be the 1st time I've been separated from Marcus Green in 25 years. So it's going to be an adjustment.

Some professional news: After 12 + years, today is my last day at WDRB News. First, thanks to Barry Fulmer, Bill Lamb and Jen Keeney for the vision to join print & TV journalists together (at a local level) and then giving us the time and freedom to do important, indepth work.

Press freedom alert in Kentucky: Two journalists face trial in Kenton County, after they were arrested in July for being at a local protest they were reporting on. The protest was by people speaking out against ICE's detention of a chaplain in Cincinnati.
On trial for journalism in Kentucky.
Two months after their arrests while covering a protest, a pair of local reporters face criminal charges.

Or like those wax fangs they sell during Halloween. They are like a dollar. Put in a new pair everyday.

Seriously tho, that shit is expensive

Same. I went 4 months ago for the first time in, well at least a few years. I was quickly diagnosed with what they call “yuck mouth.” I could have bought a semi-decent car I think for how much fixing the damage has cost. I asked how much wooden teeth would cost instead. They don’t do that anymore!

NEW: Brooks Houck was sentenced to life in prison today for the 2015 murder of Crystal Rogers
“You will spend the rest of your miserable life in prison where you belong,” Rogers’ mother told Houck.

So how are all my former gifted and talented kids who used to read several books a day and now rot their faculties doomscrolling while ignoring a TV show doing tonight

As a long-time hater of Lane Kiffin, this is always a very tough game for me. I generally just root for Bane to take control
