This is not an uncle baby billy gimmick account; nonetheless, I hope you read all my tweets with uncle baby Billy’s accent.
More seriously I do think this could be an issue for the officer corps, which is not an important voting bloc but could
end up mattering.

Striking shipwrecked at sea is on about the same level as executing prisoners. You don’t get more unambiguously hors de combat than that.

The extremely important voting bloc of retired jag officers who are overly deferential to the administration’s definition of smugglers as combatants but strictly apply the geneva conventions.

It was a marginal shift from 2020 to 2024; Biden also enacted an asylum ban; Harris ran on building the wall. The conventional wisdom that dems were soft on border policy requires knowing less than nothing about immigration law.

yeah, but there’s not really a systematic way to prevent gaming it without also harming people need it, so at a systems level you have to decide if you’d rather block people from gaming it or block people who need it.

Which means you need actual research and not anecdotes.

(1) your kids are lazy little shits so you can look down on them.
(2) If Chip, Trip, and Bryyydann are not valedictorians, it’s because someone else, probably a trans POC, benefited from special treatment specifically at your expense.

"Rich kids are gaming disability accommodations to gain an unfair advantage" is actually very different from "America has an extra-time-on-tests problem" — and the author hasn't proved that either! Rich kids might just be more likely to be diagnosed.

Yeah, I guess the big problem is that any crackdown on accommodations will disproportionately hurt the people who actually need it, but also not cracking down on it also hurts the people who actually need it.
