No one asked, but here's a thread of my favorite books I read in 2025. 📚

I'll present them in no particular order, except for one—one series, that is—and that is The Murderbot Diaries by @marthawells.com, which I finally read this year and enjoyed so much that I hope to read them again this year.

Brexit endorsed & normalised the global shift away from rule-based stability and return of naked power politics. The UK needs to realise the EU is no longer just a haven for small and medium-sized states from coercion. It's now the primary defender of liberal democracy and leader of the free world.

Welcome to 2026. Where the world order as we knew it seems to be over. What next? Taiwan? Greenland? Balkans?

The U.K. must double down on its relationship with the EU. For it is Europe alone that is now leader of the free world.
