The ending of Season 1 was pretty perfect.

Not entirely sure that they can really improve from there.

I don't recall being aware of My So Called Life when it was on.

I have scant memories of Ms. Danes as Juliet in the Romeo + Juliet move from the mid-90s, and then I think the next time I saw her was in Stardust.

Yeah, you're asking too much of me with the neighborhoods, but I should point out that the Spanish that I heard was mostly from Lat Am (and frankly, Caribbean).

I remember Mexicans, Dominicans and Venezuelans (the latter may have been Arubans or Curacaoans who speak with a Venezuelan accent).

This is probably going to scare you, but never having been to the Netherlands, I was surprised at the amount of Spanish I heard when visiting in September 2023.

There were moments during Homeland where I honest to goodness couldn't look at the anguish and pain on Carrie Mathison's face (even though I understood it was only a character being played by an actress).

I think the world of Ms. Russell's acting chops, but I don't think she could have played Carrie Mathison's issues with bipolar disorder as well as Ms. Danes, for the simple reason that Ms. Danes (while also a beautiful woman) has a plasticity to her face that allows her to show terrible mania.

Those pontoon boats are pretty unmistakable if you’ve been there.

His career arch makes me wonder if Mr. Watson was fully mentally fit as he aged.

I have not read obits that posited the question, and I do wonder about that.

The Rockies being the Rockies, PoDesta may actually be an improvement on what they've been running out (the Rockies are so bad that they remind me of the early 1980s Cleveland Cavaliers, where the NBA kind of forced Ted Stepien to sell).

Figure that baseball needs to get rid of the Lerners, Morenos, Monforts, and Nuttings much more than they need to "break" the union.

Regrettably, those crappy owners vote and push their agenda on the rest of the league.

I very strongly doubt anybody gets in this year.

Unless there's a change of hearts that I don't expect, Bonds & Clemens (and maybe Sheffield) will get enough votes to complicate things for others, but won't get in. And I just don't see any other candidates with enough support to be elected.

Didn’t see you mentioning the possibility that the Phillies exercised Alvarado’s option to trade him for someone else.

Yes, his 2025 was not ideal, but it’s not outside the realm of possibility.

Panama is an associate member of Mercosur.

You should have shown an outline of the Panamanian flag as a wristband, too.

I would think people in the so-called tri-state area do care, insofar as it affects them (and maybe a little bit in the rest of NY State).

Agreed as to the rest of the U.S.

Yeah, somebody didn’t do their DD

He is a HoFer and part of the 1992-1993 Jays.

It’s not a terrible decision when looking from afar (especially if you don’t know much about Morris and his career).

I saw Sting here in Panama in January 2001, and he spoke passable Spanish to the crowd between songs.

Mexico City has about 20MM people.

It’s hard for me to believe that a few thousand foreigners can cause such a large effect on rental markets and retail prices.

I may be naive, but I sort of figure you should have a general inkling of who it is that wants to interview prior to accepting an interview.

To me, the real flaw starts on Ms. Abughazaleh's side by accepting this interview.

Nice picture of you there.
