Here for Arsenal talk. But I teach, I read, I run, amongst other things. I might occasionally say nonsense about other stuff and things.
He was one of those keepers with arms that seemed shorter than they actually were.

Just terrible.

"LANS"

If I mildly slag off Martinelli each game, does it mean he'll do that?

I'll step up.
December 10, 2025 at 9:17 PM
No, me neither, they've got different flaws. We could do with finding the next Trossard.

If Minteh (or someone like that) were right footed...
December 10, 2025 at 9:07 PM
Yep. Arguably, Ekitike has become an £80m squad player. There were no guarantees in the striker market this summer.
December 10, 2025 at 9:04 PM
Absolutely. Interesting, really, that Arteta does seem to be able to improve players, but hasn't been able to get Martinelli's head up. It is what it is.
December 10, 2025 at 9:00 PM
At some point, agree, but I'm not convinced that's in December in his first year at the club. Let's see how he develops, if at all.
December 10, 2025 at 8:57 PM
He is a good footballer, not a great one. That's fine, too. He's obviously a pretty good option to have in our squad, and evidently better off the bench when there's space and his technical limitations seem to matter less.
December 10, 2025 at 8:55 PM
Yes, agree, which is why I'm inclined to acknowledge that he takes a few games to get up to speed.
December 10, 2025 at 8:53 PM
Dreadful is too strong. With him, his injury meant we have quickly forgotten how to play to/with him.

With Martinelli, I have less patience because we know what he is.
December 10, 2025 at 8:52 PM
He's limited. He's good at what he's good at. We need to play to what he's good at, which is not ideal at the top, top level.

I've more of an issue with Martinelli today. Nothing is sticking, just coughing the ball up.

Even weirder to consider that AI might then be being you talking about Arsenal...

Then it will be time to find a good lawyer.

Is airplane mode on?

Eze didn't have a good half, but it's increasingly clear to me that Ødegaard skews the balance to such an extent being on the left is more difficult than it should be.
December 6, 2025 at 1:34 PM
Which is the main issue Ødegaard brings.
December 6, 2025 at 1:22 PM
Yes, this is it. The lack of runners is glaring. Ødegaard, Merino, Eze all want ball to feet and the balance is therefore off.
December 6, 2025 at 1:18 PM
Maybe. He's also just coming back from injury and Merino didn't necessarily warrant being dropped, but there's a reason he wasn't a striker to begin with.
