Here for Arsenal talk. But I teach, I read, I run, amongst other things. I might occasionally say nonsense about other stuff and things.
I could make more jokes, but I'll leave it salmon else.

That'll do.
Shame Salmon didn't come on at left back. Then he could have been o(ur) mega 3.

Need some forwards who can keep the ball here. Midfield being run through, in part, because it keeps bouncing back.

Love it when the refs just guess

All the talk on the big Arsenal pods of Merino as our best striker felt premature to me. This game is showing his limitations as a forward. No threat in behind as you'd expect, but the ball is not sticking at all.

Top story on BBC London is about...

a 2.4 mile bus diversion.

Has nothing else happened today, in London, one of the world's busiest cities?

Apparently not.

That was a most unenjoyable 2-0 win. Edgy despite them creating only the one chance.

Calafiori is a hell of a player.

Now that is funny.

Never a penalty.

What a terrible corner.
December 2, 2025 at 9:29 PM
Even if City get through this, the message to the league is that you can go at this lot. Good fun.

Looking at the first phase offside there is just daft - the ball gets recycled and takes just under 15 seconds to go into the box again. That's re-reffing the game.

Glad it was onside.

And now this is fun.

Yes, the regular journos tell you how you're seen. E.g. OHolt in the Mail says we are a point closer to the title after a tetchy game away from home against a team turning up the unpleasantness to 11. He's not wrong.
Really wouldn’t know from some of what I’m seeing that in the past eight days Arsenal have added a point to their lead over their likeliest title rivals and delivered two of their best performances in years.

And I’m not just seeing it on the idiot fringe.

A thought: Saka was good. Sure, not much came off and it was quite frustrating, but it's a much bigger problem if he's not taking shots and crosses.

Sort of reminded me of Salah. It won't always come off, but when it does (and I think it will), we'll have lift off.

Taylor will be looking up even this up. Our boys on a yellow need to be sensible.

Obviously the keeper dropping a clanger is pretty funny, but the finish/quick thinking from Wilson is very good.
November 29, 2025 at 8:54 PM
MOTD is not it. Citing Neuer as the reason for the win, saying we don't have exceptional players. Not much on Arsenal having quality. All a bit salty.
November 26, 2025 at 11:14 PM
Very top. Good sensation.
November 26, 2025 at 9:54 PM
Also, the talk of Arsenal needing to make a big statement in Europe is a bit odd. Of course we need to win it at some point, but it's not like we have flubbed it completely in recent years.

Spose they've got to make an angle somehow, but this feels an odd angle, whatever the result tonight.
TNT's football coverage really misses Rio Ferdinand...

said no one, ever.

Shame a few of the others can't move on, but there's a real dearth of insight in anything "general football".

Yet more evidence that PGMOL think the game is meant to be about PGMOL.

Daft.

You gotta congratulate Phil Foden.
November 23, 2025 at 6:06 PM
Thing is, how do we react if/when Samuel says the same about us?

Time to pray.
November 22, 2025 at 6:24 PM
Arsenal fans being justifiably irked about the Phil Foden stuff has led to some funny comments.

Just imagining the outrage - from far more than Arsenal fans - that would have been generated had Eze said the pass was fine but he was the one who stuck it top corner from 18 yards.
Woke up feeling fresh, my cousin’s getting married, it’s also my name day - just wanted to thank Phil Foden for everything.

Theo pundits like he plays. To torture an analogy, put him into space with a free run at his own opinion and he's good enough at some stuff. Introduce some challenge in the form of a strong challenge or opinion from others, particularly someone with a bit of reputation, and he'll back out.
Alan Shearer was pretty fair on MOTD, but I did find his "gotta stop (foul) him or else the manager will go crazy at you for letting him get across you" bit quite amusing.

Theo just needed to say you can have your arms up, but you cannot throw your arm.
